Maya Devi Temple and Bharat Mata Temple is also visited by many devotees and tourists who comes to Haridwar City as the time of Kumbh Mela and next Kumbh Mela will be held in Haridwar in 2021.

What is Ardh Kumbh Mela ?

Here Ardh means to Half or we can say that a complete Kumbh Mela is held in 12 years so it is clear that Ardh Kumbh Mela is held in 6 year.

Two Complete Kumbh Mela middle Mela which is held after a Kumbh Mela and before a Kumbh Mela is known as Ardh Kumbh Mela.

Last Kumbh Mela in Haridwar was held in 2010  and after 6 years period it was held as Ardh Kumbh Mela in 2016 in Haridwar City.

Kumbh Mela Mythology on ocean churning or Samudra Manthana

Ancient and Hindus mythology about Samudra Manthana is the story of Gods and Demons. They both had done ocean churning to get Amrit ( The Holy Water ).

As soon as Amrit received from the Samundra Manthana , Inder's son Jaynat got the Kalash of Amrit and run way then a war was starting between Gods and Demons which had continued for 12 Days and finally Vishnu as Mohini distributed it among them equally.

While Jaynat was going carrying Amrit four drops of Amrit had fallen on four places Haridwar, Allahabad, Nasik and Ujjain.

According to this mythology, Kumbh Mela held on these places once in 12 Year.

Next Kumbh Mela will be held in Haridwar City in Uttarakhand in 2021. 

Akhara in Kumbh Mela, Importance of Sadhu Akhara

First of all we should know about the meaning of Akhara. Generally Akhara means to the place of exercise and fight field and where wrestling participated by the wrestlers but In Kumbh Mela, Akhara means to the geathering of Sags and a group of Saint. Akhara is also reference to stay places of Sadhu ( Saints or Sags ) .

There are totally 13 Akhara and these are very important for Kumbh Mela and Ardh Kumbh Mela. Now a days one Akhada also added so now 14 Akhade by name are

Atal Akhada is one of the. Oldest Akhada and its God name is  Lord Ganesha.

Avahan Akhada whose centre is Kashi.

Niranjani Akhada is one of the educated Akhada in Kumbh Mela whose God know as Lord Kartik son of Lord Shiva.

Panchagri Akhada's God is Gayatri. Brahman and Bramchari only can ordination in it.

Mahanirman Akhara's God is Kapil Mahamauni.

Other Akhada names are :

Ananda Akhada, Nirmohi Akhada, Bada Udasin Panchayti Akhada, Nya Udasin Akhada, Nirmal Akhada, Veshnav Akhada, Nagpanti  Gorakhnath Akhara, Juna Akhara and Kinnar Akhara.

Kinnar Akhara has included in this year whose Mahamandaleshwar is Lakshmi Narayan Tirpathi.

Kumbh Mela is coming soon which will be held in Haridwar City in 2021.

Haridwar Kumbh Mela is held on the bank of The Holy Ganges. Har Ki Pauri is very important place where thousand of person can be seen every year dipping into Holy Ganges.

Kumbh Mela Haridwar 2021 important Shahi Snan ( Royal Bath)

There are four important Royal Bath ( Shahi Snan ) dates are declared for Kumbh Mela 2021 which is held in Haridwar.

First Shahi Snan for Kumbh Mela on  Maha Shivaratri on 11th of March 2021.

Second Shahi Snan for Kumbh Mela on Somti Amavasya on 12th of April 2021.

Third Shahi Snan for Kumbh Mela on Veshakhi ( Beshakhi ) on 14 April 2021.

Fourth Shahi Snan for Kumbh Mela on Chitra Purnima on 27th April 2021.

Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2021 all programs and Akhade related work is in progress.

Kumbh Mela 2021 is very important fair festival for Hindusim , Sags and many faithful devotees.

Apart from these four important Shahi Snan ( Royal Bath) other bath dates also have been released. Like Basant Panchmi Snan, Maghi Purnima Snan, Makar Sakranti Shahi Snan, Mauni Amavasya and Ram Navmi Snan are also has important baths for Kumbh Mela and Baths of Maha Kumbh Mela going on till Kartik Purnima.
